PlayStation Network nabs Slam Bolt Scrappers

Fire Hose Games’ Slam Bolt Scrappers is coming in “early 2011” to PlayStation Network as an exclusive title. Those who attended PAX East back in March might be familiar with the game — it was on full display as part of the independent showcase.

For the rest of you, well, I’ll try my best to explain how it works. Essentially, you fly around beating up on these demon critters. When you kill one, it turns into what can only be described as a Tetris piece. Naturally, you need to combine blocks of the same color, which in turn creates turrets and other forms of defense.

Slam Bolt Scrappers combines multiple genres and a few classic game mechanics to form something pretty unique, so it’s a tough one to describe. I’m just going to link you to YouTube and hope the message gets through. It’ll definitely be one to keep an eye on.
