Phoenix Wright NOT Game’s Ranji Tomu introduces Takarazuka-ing self

Here’s Ranji Tomu, the lady charged with playing the lead role of Phoenix Wright in the upcoming Takarazuka play of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. This is an introduction video, where she spends a bit of time talking about what she’s looking forward to with the production — namely to show you the courtroom drama and romance of the Phoenix Wright story through dance and song.As disturbing as that may sound, a romance between Phoenix and Edgeworth isn’t so horrible when they’re both girls. It’s kind of like Koizumi and Kyon in the universe of Kyon-ko.The second half of the video is Ranji going through the Official Phoenix Wright Fanbook‘s character reactions chart, and saying whether or not she thinks these things are plausible — like Phoenix tapping his paper whenever he’s got something, or Larry always mucking things up.We end with a reminder that the play opens on February 5th. Anyone want to buy me tickets? Please, for the love of God, buy me tickets! Also, if you’re curious as to what a Takarazuka play looks like, head after the jump. Here’s the scene entitled “Oscar’s Room” from one of the hallmark Takarazuka titles, The Rose of Versailles.
