Chinese MMO publisher Perfect World has made an agreement to purchase Cryptic Studios, makers of Star Trek Online, from Atari. The sale, which is currently pending some closing conditions, is reported to have been made for 35 million Euros.

In addition to Star Trek, Cryptic also developed the successful massively multiplayer City of Heroes and City of Villains games as well as the (recently) free-to-play Champions Online.
