Perfect Dark is still slated to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade at some point this winter. Perhaps as a reminder of its eventual arrival or to show off the brilliant texture work by developer 4J Studios, Rare released one bit of art and two additional images of the game in motion. It still looks terrible, but at least it’s a smooth kind of terrible.
Released in the year 2000 on the Nintendo 64, Perfect Dark was the legendary follow-up to Rare’s other shooter, Goldeneye. This port was announced back at E3 2009 after being rumored for ages.
Perfect Dark XBLA is the full game. It will launch with HD visuals and online cooperative multiplayer. On top of that, 4J Studios is planning to have the game running at a blistering 60 frames-per-second. We’ll see how that will work in the game’s favor after it’s released.
Still feeling this port, guys? Let us know what you think.
