Overwatch's new hero Ashe debuts in animated short

0

Today was a good day

This morning at BlizzCon, Blizzard debuted "Reunion," the latest Overwatch animated short. It's one of the most action-packed and lore-rich videos yet. Our old pal McCree has a squabble on Route 66 with the Deadlock Gang and its leader, Ashe, who as it turns out is the game's newest hero.

After the short wrapped, Overwatch's Jeff Kaplan stoked the audience's curiosity and suggested that the Deadlock Gang and "the mysterious white robot" Echo would all make for great characters. For the briefest of moments, I thought Blizzard was going to do a multi-hero announcement.

You can find images of the sniper, the triplets, Echo, and Bob (who appears in-game as part of Ashe's ultimate ability) below. My mind is racing at their potential to be more than background characters.
