The whole “you aren’t walking around a creepy place with more firepower than Rambo, Plissken, Robocop, and that manly chick from Aliens combined” thing sure does make videgames scarier, huh?
Can’t say that I’ve ever played anything with Penumbra in the title before, but people seem to like those games. Why yes, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is being made by those same folks at Frictional Games. What gave it away?
The game is set for a simultaneous release on PC, Mac, and Linux later this year; August seems likely at this point. It’s already up for pre-order, where you can save a few bucks. Otherwise, it’ll cost $20 when it hits Steam.
If movies have taught me anything, it’s that upon seeing a room full of dead animals on meat hooks, it’s time to get a movin’ before the dude with the face made of leather notices you.
