No Halloween plans? Steam hits new user record over weekend

0

Almost 12.6 players on Halloween

Steam is continuing its trend of increasing concurrent players and breaking past service records every few months. Just in June it was exciting to see Steam hit 10 million users using the service at the same time.

This Halloween marked a new peak, with almost 12.6 million users all logged in at once. The most played games were, again, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2, and Grand Theft Auto V.

So, who was playing PC games on Halloween and not getting drunk on room temperature pumpkin beer and then getting late-nite tikka masala (after having Japanese curry for dinner)?
