Nintendo’s Miis going handheld in a big way on 3DS

Recommended Videos

Nintendo has had a lot of success with their cartoonish Mii characters, using them to worm their way into the hearts of families worldwide. Soon, the Mii won’t be exclusive to the home console, as Nintendo has big plans to bring the little fellas to the 3DS.

Not only will you be able to make a Mii representing yourself on the 3DS, the very method of doing so is being streamlined. Instead of tinkering around with the different facial features, 3DS owners will be able to simply take a picture of themselves with the handheld’s camera and the device will automatically generate a Mii based on the photo.

In addition, the 3DS will be getting its own version of the Mii Plaza found on the Wii. This new version of the environment in which you can annoy, organize and admire your Miis will take advantage of the 3DS’ Tag Mode to exchange Miis with other users. Hopefully, they’ll also include a few new things to annoy those little buggers with as well.
