Nintendo: No issues with 3DS quality, Amazon sales resume

Recommended Videos

Despite reports yesterday that Amazon.com stopped selling the 3DS due to broken hinges, Nintendo has declared that its hardware has no known issues and that sales have returned to normal.

Yesterday, Amazon revealed it was suspending Cosmo Black 3DS sales, but it stated the problem was at its own end. However, a representative later said that customers were complaining of broken hinges, which sounded like a Nintendo hardware issue.

“An internal Amazon.com shipping issue triggered a brief hold on orders of Nintendo 3DS systems while the situation was reviewed, as is common in such matters,” said a Nintendo rep. “Amazon.com resolved the issue, and Nintendo 3DS orders have resumed. There are no issues with Nintendo 3DS inventory or quality. For additional information about this incident, please contact Amazon.com.”

Quite why this problem only affected one color, and exactly where the problem lay, has not been made clear. Still, seems like it’s done with now, so let us all go on our merry way.
