Nintendo isn't done updating Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

0

My eyes just lit up

Nintendo hopes to give players more reasons to return to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe this year.

In a cheery little video posted today, Nintendo head of software development Shinya Takahashi spoke about the game's recent Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Motorbike addition and pledged more support. "There will be further updates for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," he said, "so please look forward to it."

Takahashi also said to expect "more free updates all the way until December" for Splatoon 2.

As for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe updates, I'm curious how much more work Nintendo is willing to put in -- are we talking tweaks and small new features, or full-on tracks? I'm keeping my expectations in check, but if we ever do get more courses, I'm right here, wallet in hand. I'd prefer that over more characters.
