Nintendo debuts two mini-Directs today

Mostly on Animal Crossing, plus the Earthbound announcement

Today, Nintendo dropped a pair of stealthy mini-Direct presentations that mostly went over information we already knew. Specifically, both videos address the success of Animal Crossing, and talk a bit about Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101.

The US Direct (featured above) demos the new 3DS Streetpass DLC, and talks more about upcoming Wii U games (exclusive or otherwise), including these two lists right here, Cloudberry Kingdom, and DuckTales Remastered.

Besides EarthBound, the only real announcements are the StreetPass enhancement news, and the fact that you have the opportunity to play Pikmin 3 a day early if you reserve a digital copy at GameStop. So that’s a thing, while Europeans can get 30% off The Wonderful 101 by buying Pikmin 3 digitally.

Also, Nintendo’s Bill Trinen lovingly ate some fruit — I think I see a theme here.
