We know you’ve been dying to get your own Avatar into your Xbox 360 titles, so here’s breaking information on how this all will work and look, care of Major Nelson .
Was there a little sarcasm there? Perhaps. Of course, the Avatar isn’t necessarily something aimed at the head of Destructoid readers, either. Want it or not, on November 19th, a few games will be updated with some kind Avatar functionality. Uno , Bomberman Live (that’s our jam!), Hardwood Hearts and Hardwood Spades get the first updates. There’s also a new Xbox Live title that will launch with fully playable Avatars, and details on this title are coming soon.
As far as the video goes, the balding guy in shorts in the middle of the Avatar line-up kind of creeps me out. I’m not sure why, though. The video demonstrations of how Avatars fit into games don’t really sell them to me. Look at Bomberman Live : how are they “incorporated” in this example? It just looks like an image of your avatar next to your score. That’s nowhere near as cool as using Mr. Destructoid in-game.
