NSMBU game-altering DLC announced

New Super Luigi U was announced this morning during today's Nintendo Direct. The title is an large-scale add-on for New Super Mario Bros. U, which is said to alter the game's existing 80 plus courses into all-new levels.

Earlier in the presentation Nintendo President Satoru Iwata declared 2013 the "Year of Luigi." As such, this downloadable expansion will not feature Mario. Instead, the spotlight will focus entirely on his leaner, greener brother. New Super Luigi U will be available for download sometime later this year via the Nintendo eShop .
