Plus Dead Island: Riptide, Star Trek, StarDrive, and Monaco
I'm a bit late with this week's new releases, as I'm still recovering from my wee sister's wedding, where I wracked up an ungodly bar bill. Your sympathy and donations will be greatly appreciated.
It's a busy week, and I had a hard time deciding which upcoming title made me tingle the most. In the end, however, it's got to be Don't Starve. I've been playing the beta for months, and it's stolen my heart (and sanity). I've turned pig-men into slaves, built towns only for them to be destroyed by hellish monsters, and been driven to the brink of insanity by hunger and fear. I love it.
Also launching this week is StarDrive, a rather lovely 4X space strategy game, the beta of which has already swallowed up a good chunk of my time; zombies continue to be a menace to people living in paradise in Dead Island: Riptide; Star Trek is boldly going where lots of Star Trek games have gone before by not looking like it's very good; Monaco has chums performing heists together, which I can totally get behind; and Dragon's Dogma gets some DLC/ a re-release in the form of Dark Arisen.
