New releases: Anarchy Reigns and not much else

Start the year off with a chainsaw

Have you suitably recovered from bringing in the New Year? I hope so, because the first new releases of 2013 are upon us, and they may require your attention.

This week's offerings aren't particularly bountiful, but you will get to kill a lot of people with a chainsaw. Anarchy Reigns is Platinum Games's new -- slightly loopy -- brawler, based loosely on the MadWorld IP. Steve Blum reprises his role as Jack Cayman, and he gets into a lot of flashy scraps. There're a bunch of multiplayer modes as well, so you can murder your chums to your heart's content. It looks like a hoot.

Besides this, we've got Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable on the Vita, the unforgiving Demon's Souls hits PSN, and Dance Magic on PS3 is a thing that will get you moving.

What are you looking forward to?

X360: Anarchy Reigns

PS3: Anarchy Reigns, Dance Magic

PS Vita: Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable

PSN: Demon's Souls

Dance Magic (PS3)

Demon's Souls (PSN)

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable (PS Vita)
