Confirmed. I was just at the local Megamart, hoping to pick up a few new titles and some jellybeans. It was there that I saw that the new PS2 packaging matches the new PS3 packaging nicely. I wondered if there was anything different inside, so I came home just now to look. It seems that Kotaku is on top of it.
They tell us that this new PS2 is a slightly smaller model than the last, which was already wafer thin. This new model also drops the AC adapter, a welcome change. And I agree with Kotaku: if they also drop the price, this little system may find a new home in Casa del Norte.
