Monster Hunter: World slays the Japanese charts yet again

Capcom bagged a big 'un. Monster Hunter: World has kept a hold of the Japanese market, finishing as the most-sold game for the past week as reported by Media Create.

For the week of February 12 through February 18, Monster Hunter: World moved 85,322 copies, pushing its lifetime sales in Japan to 1,836,291. This new information comes on the heels of this week's revelation that Monster Hunter: World sold 650,000 digital copies in its first three days after release in Japan. Worldwide, the game's sitting somewhere around six million sales.

Other notable Media Create entries this week are: Secret of Mana (36,042), Splatoon 2 (21,815), Idolish7: Twelve Fantasia (21,481), and Dynasty Warriors 9 (21,180). Some heavy hitters there (look at Splatoon still stickin' around!) but none of them can come close to Monster Hunter's success right now. At least not in Japan.
