The MOGA system for Android is one of the more interesting products of its kind to come forward, and although the price ($49.99) isn’t too unreasonable and it will serve a valuable purpose for certain users, it’s hard to know how the device will perform until it is out in the wild.
These things tend to live or die based on the software they’re compatible with, so only time will tell. With support from companies like Sega, Gameloft, and Namco Bandai, PowerA is on the right track. Those of you who are feeling antsy can now pre-order the MOGA from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Toys”R”Us.
Following its 7,000-store October 21 launch, the gamepad will be available at some 2,000 T-Mobile locations in November. You might not particularly care about retailer availability, but the more of these that move, the better support there will ultimately be from developers.
