Minecraft's Battle mini game is out on June 21

As a free update

Mojang recently unveiled Minecraft's "Battle mini game," and had a nebulous date of "sometime in June" for its release. Now we know that it's actually coming June 21, which should give you some time to settle down after E3.

You can get an idea of what to expect from my preview, but here's a video that also highlights the basic gist. As a reminder, this will be a free update that is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. This is the first of multiple mini games on the way.

It's not a game-changer, but people who still regularly play Minecraft should enjoy it.
