Humility? Microsoft does not understand the meaning of the word. The Xbox 360 platform holder, by way of European executive Chris Lewis, has stated that multiplatform games “just work better” on the 360 thanks to Xbox Live. Microsoft said it, so it has to be true!
“We have a great journey through to Christmas,” boasts Lewis. “There are key titles that are exclusives but also great cross-platform titles that will just work better on Xbox Live. And in terms of content and networking, we have more content partnerships for Xbox Live.”
There’s no doubt that Xbox Live is the more robust online platform, but of course the hardware itself has to work in the first place for the games to work better on it. Also, it’s certainly not true that Xbox Live makes all games superior, especially if online play isn’t that big of a deal. Anybody who tells me that Batman: Arkham Asylum is better on the Xbox 360 can no longer be counted as an intelligent human being.
What do you reckon though? Are multiplatform titles always better on Xbox Live, or is the PS3 the superior system for third party gaming?
