Mass Effect 2 demo hitting PlayStation Network

With Mass Effect 3 announced — and scheduled to hit PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 simultaneously next year — PS3 owners might want to start playing catch up.

They’ll have their chance when Mass Effect 2 finally hits PlayStation 3 on January 18 of next year. Want to get an early taste? Electronic Arts and BioWare have confirmed that a demo for the title will hit PlayStation Network on December 21 in North America.

PS3 owners, have you been waiting patiently to play BioWare’s epic on Sony’s console, or did you go out of your way to check it out elsewhere? Do you even care?
