Mario will be discounted four weeks leading up to NSMB2

In addition to the weekly sales Nintendo has been running on the eShop, it seems as if Nintendo is going to celebrate the release of New Super Mario Brothers 2 with a few extra 3DS Virtual Console discounts. Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, and Mario’s Picross will all feature minor sales in the coming weeks.

Just as a reminder, New Super Mario Brothers 2 is running a special of it’s own as well: if you buy the game digitally, you can also net 50 extra Club Nintendo coins. It seems as if Nintendo is going all out for their newest 3DS title. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them this aggressive. Silly Nintendo, you could develop a classic 8-bit Mario game in two weeks and it would sell a million copies!
