Nintendo just announced a Mario + Rabbids free trial on Switch, and it kicks off today, running through July 12.

To be exact, the trial actually starts today, July 6, at 10AM PT, and will run through July 12 at 11:59. So if you think you can get through roughly 20-ish hours of story in six days, you can just finish it! This trial comes directly after the release date announcement for the sequel, which is coming later this year in October.

Like all trials, you need to be a Switch Online subscriber to partake. You can find the trial here, or via the eShop directly on the Switch.

There’s two bonuses to this July 2022 Mario + Rabbids free trial run

  • The full game is on sale for $9.99 through July 20: so if you decide to buy in, you can upgrade to the full version from the trial (Nintendo also reminds us that save data will be preserved, so you won’t need to start over if you upgrade after the trial)
  • As usual, you’ll net 100 platinum for participating in the trial: if you own the full game, just boot it up during this period to get the points
