Love, loss and water hazards as Golf Story tees off on Switch today

The high drama of the green

Sidebar Games have released a trailer for their cute, entertaining-looking RPG, Golf Story, which launches today on Nintendo Switch.

The game sees the player don the plus-fours of a young golfer forced to give up everything to hone in on their one chance of championship stardom. Like the 1999 Game Boy classic Mario Golf before it, Golf Story blends fun action on the fairways with a dramatic, character-driven backstory.

It's a great idea, and the game looks perfect for whiling away those lazy afternoons. If you fancy seeing whether both your golfing and your social skills are up to par, then Golf Story launches today on Nintendo Switch, priced at $15.
