Little Nightmares is somehow both cute and terrifying at the same time

Silent Hill meets Inside?

Bandai Namco has properly revealed Little Nightmares, a new adventure title that has you playing as a raincoat-wearing little girl named Six trying to escape an underwater vessel filled with corrupted souls. I love how that description went from cute to scary real quick, which seems to be the tone of the game as well.

Little Nightmares reminds me a bit of Tim Burton films, a little bit of Silent Hill, a smidgen of Inside, and a hint of Unravel. Developer Tarsier Studios has worked on downloadable content for the LittleBigPlanet series, as well as the PlayStation 4 port of Tearaway Unfolded, so it certainly has some platforming experience under its belt. I hope that translates well to its own game when Little Nightmares launches next spring for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
