Linkin Park headlining Medal of Honor soundtrack, video

Putting together what seems to me as a derivative, uninspired, cookie-cutter military shooter with Linkin Park sounds like a match made in heaven. Only makes sense that the band will be headlining the soundtrack for Medal of Honor.

To be fair, I haven't listened to anything the band produced save whatever tripe got pushed through to commercial radio. I mean, it all could have been crap but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt ever so briefly. The song used in this Medal of Honor teaser, "The Catalyst," isn't wretched. I'm not going to run out and buy Linkin Park's next album (A Thousand Suns, releasing September 14) on its basis but I've certainly heard worse from them.

This is actually a teaser for a full-length music video combining live-action elements with gameplay footage from Medal of Honor. The final cut is being directed by Linkin Park's very own Joe Hahn and will be released on August 1st.
