No bots on the grass

Property damages claims galore. They'd be headache, but they'd get you money. Muggings would be down (and then way up when muggers got mechs). You'd have someone to let your dog out to pee while you're work.

Plus you'd get to be an offbeat, meticulously unkempt bearded guy who's nicely dressed. Isn't that what everyone wants?
