If you fancy a little old-school, pint-sized adventure, then you might be in luck, as Square Enix has released its recent remaster of classic PlayStation title Legend of Mana for mobile devices. Interested parties can purchase and download the fantasy adventure on iOS and Android platforms right now, priced at around $22 USD.

The original Legend of Mana, (or Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana), hit PlayStation way back in 1999 as the long-awaited fourth entry in the popular Mana franchise. The story sees a blank-slate protagonist charged with restoring the lands of Fa’Diel, following the destruction of the sacred Mana Tree. Journeying across a variety of colorful landscapes in typical, top-down Mana fashion, players will battle monsters, gather new gear and weaponry, explore dungeons, and meet a cast of friends and foes en route to returning the world to its former resplendent glory.

The Legend of Mana remaster launched on PC and consoles in June of this year, complete with overhauled visuals and remastered sound, as well as a selection of new features. These include the world-editing “Land Make” system, as well as the previously cut “Ring Ring Land” mini-game, that previously did not make the transition to Legend of Mana‘s western release. In addition, quality-of-life mechanics include revamped controls for mobile, as well as the option to turn off enemy encounters. Our own Chris Carter found it to be a very enjoyable take on an adventure classic.

Legend of Mana is available now on iOS and Android devices. It is previously available on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
