Kid Kirby: The Super Nintendo game that never was

Recommended Videos

We have all seen pictures of an unreleased videogame that looked cool as hell, but when was the last time you saw an abandoned game starring a popular mascot that looked absolutely horrible?

Kid Kirby is exactly that. Little is known about the Super Nintendo game besides its developer, which was DMA Design (Lemmings, Grand Theft Auto III). In fact, the only thing we can really draw from the available info is that the game features a young Kirby (that’s a strand of hair, right?) and not much else.

A few pictures can be found on a Flickr account belonging to one of the developers, but I’d advise you to shield your eyes as if you were about to watch a snuff film; it’s not a pretty sight. There’s also a magazine scan courtesy of Lost Levels that’s located in the gallery if you’re craving more.

Do any of you think Kid Kirby looks the least bit enjoyable? I sure don’t.
