It’s been about six months since Just Cause 2 landed, but in a game where you can run around an island and do whatever the hell you want with a wide variety of awesome things it’s no wonder people have been playing the heck out of it. If you need some numbers to back that up, Square Enix sent them over to us. There’s some interesting stats here.
For instance, “570,329,283m is the combined height of each player’s highest base jump, which is roughly 14 times the circumference of the Earth, or the equivalent of free-falling from the Moon one and a half times.” Then there’s, “The total game time of all players in Just Cause 2 is 26,118,470 hours. That’s equal to 1.1 million days of playtime, or just under 30,000 years.”
Am I the only one that finds gameplay stats like that a little depressing? Clearly I love playing videogames and use much of my time to do it or I wouldn’t be here, but man I could do a lot with just under 30,000 years worth of man power.
