Jumanji's tie-in game doesn't look that bad

The Rock has seen better days, though

Remember that Jumanji video game that was announced a few months back? No? I don't blame you, especially since it was announced well after The Rock-led reboot/remake/sequel released. While it is likely being made to coincide with the upcoming release of Jumanji: The Next Level, this seems to be based on that first film instead. It's very confusing, but at least the game doesn't look that bad.

As we can see from the new trailer, this is a beat-em-up, third-person shooter mixture. We don't get the best look at the various different genres being mashed together, but I don't think it looks that bad. It's clearly a budget title made to ride the hype of the popular films, but it looks better than it has any right to. The Rock has seen better days, though.

Jumanji: The Video Game will be heading to PC (via Steam), PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on November 8, 2019.
