Jaffe on a new Twisted Metal: 'I WISH'

Gamers have long thought that Eat Sleep Play -- co-founded by David Jaffe -- have been working on a new Twisted Metal title for the PlayStation 3. But if Jaffe's latest Twitter comments are to be believed, that may not be the case.

Responding to analyst Michael Pachter's comments on the latest episode of Bonus Round, Jaffe has seemingly shut down the long-standing rumor.

"I wish we were making a new Twisted Metal," he wrote in response to Pachter calling the title out. "Making [a] game you've already worked on is a tons easier [because] your core blueprint is already there."

"This new game design stuff, though?" he adds. "Man, that is hard… reason I'm so stressed these days!"

Perhaps Jaffe is just trying to throw us off the trail, right? We may have to wait awhile to find out, as the designer has confirmed that Eat Sleep Play's title won't appear at E3 this June.
