Aw, what does it matter. You have a Wii. Your mom has a Wii (uh…). Just about everyone has a Wii. But if you’re one that doesn’t and were hoping for a Wii price drop, I have bad news.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that a Wii price drop is not likely to happen anytime soon. He and Nintendo will work to boost holiday sales through bundles and other discounts, but not a system price drop.

“Of course, we cannot say it will never happen, but we are not thinking of it for the near future,” Iwata said in a statement.

Hell, it’s already down to $200. That’s a lot better than those other guys. Look, the PSPgo was “discounted” to $200. The Wii is one of the best buys out there at the current price. I think Iwata and I are on the same page. Get this:

“Those who really wanted it would have already bought it so now we need to reach those who considered it but never got around to buying it,” he said.

Plus, he knows that printing money time is coming back in a few months when the 3DS is released.
