It’s all good fun until someone gets stabbed: LAN Party Massacre

If you’ve been reading my work on Destructoid for a while, you already know I love horror, whether it be in game, film or haunted house form. Aside from survival horror titles like Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, it doesn’t seem like there are a lot of references in games to other types of horror, such as the beloved Evil Dead 2 variety. Can we get some satire up in here, people?

Enter Creatively Bankrupt Productions, the masterminds behind LAN Party Massacre, an indie feature that looks like it has the chops to bring both the laughs and the gore. After my repeated, semi-obsessed watchings of The Machine Girl, this seems like just the thing to give me that much needed laugh after the debacle that was E3 2008. And let’s face it, gaming industry: we could all stand to take everything a little less seriously for a few moments, yes?
