Interpol hitting XBLA this week, we mean it this time

Those of you lucky enough to be obligation-free during the holidays were treated to a face full of Merv Griffin’s Crosswords instead of Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos, which is now going to debut this Wednesday according to Major Nelson.

Interpol (800 Microsoft Points) may not be the most aesthetically pleasing title to hit Xbox LIVE Arcade, but then again it’s not exactly a complex game to begin with. You save the free world by finding hidden clues which aren’t really anything more than random objects. Simple, no?

If you fall under the Carmen Sandiego crowd, then Interpol might be right for you, but it doesn’t look to have that same level of charm. Also, I would bang Carmen Sandiego if the opportunity presented itself; the same cannot be said of Dr. Chaos.

Are any of you into these photo-hunt games? I’m considering putting my points towards CarneyVale Showtime this week instead.
