THQ and Random House will be releasing a novel set in the Homefront universe at game launch, early 2011. The book, co-written by John Milius (Red Dawn,  Apocalypse Now) and Raymond Benson (author of two Metal Gear Solid books and several James Bond novels), will be released under Random House’s Del Ray imprint. THQ says that Milius worked with them on the creation of the game, and that this book release is just the beginning of a “vast transmedia strategy for Homefront.”

“Homefront represents a fascinating vision of the near future,” added John Milius. “After completing my work on the game, it became clear that there were many more stories to tell, and this book will offer a chilling look at this near-future world.”

Look for the game (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) and the book in March of next year.
