Home needs to have food. The thought occurred to me while I was jamming to some sick tunes in the Mall yesterday. When I dance in Home, I don’t do it for seconds or minutes. I go for broke, man. I push it to the limit. I get out there on the Mall’s shiny floors and pump and gyrate my body for hours on end. People never actually stop or watch me — they’re always too busy running in one of those damn stores or playing chess. I hope that someday I can draw a digital crowd, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do that without food. If I busted a move with a hotdog in my hand people would take notice.
I’ve written Sony about this problem hundreds of times over the last 13 hours. I haven’t given them time to respond, because frankly I don’t think my justification requires written response. It requires direct, digital downloadable hotdog action.
Tonight, Sony’s Home community wranglers “Locust_Star” and “CydoniaX” are hosting a gathering in the new Gamer’s Lounge space. According to a post on the official Home forums, the community men will be listening to requests and feedback as well as answering “choice frequently asked questions.” Other important people may be present as well. The post suggests that developers could be sitting in on the monumental chat.
The gathering will be held twice today (between 4-5 PM. EST and 8-9 P.M. EST) and I’ll be present at both. Hotdogs need to happen.
