Hnnnngh: Sega renews the trademark for Skies of Arcadia

0

It seems as if Sega has renewed the trademark for Skies of Arcadia, meaning it could be ripe for an HD re-release (or even a sequel) sometime in the near future. Considering Skies is one of SEGA's most requested HD remakes outside of Shenmue, this could easily be a possibility for the JRPG that had its humble beginnings on the Dreamcast in 2000.

For many, many years, Skies of Arcadia was my favorite video game. In fact, the day Xbox Live debuted on the original Xbox, I reserved the Gamertag "BlueRogue." Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for floating islands, or perhaps it was because the game itself was pretty incredible, and offered one of the best gaming experiences ever in terms of exploration.

If they tone down the random battle rate even more-so than they did in the GameCube version, everyone who is even remotely interested in JRPGs should pick this up, as I can't really identify any other major flaws with Skies of Arcadia: it's a classic.
