Here’s your Toys “R” Us 3DS launch plans

The last game system launch I went to Toys “R” Us for was the Nintendo 64. They had that bad boy for sale one day early (I think they broke street date) and I came out looking like a rock star with my Pilotwings 64 and whatnot. I remember my friends and I being really excited. That excitement lasted until we first held that banana-cock Nintendo 64 controller.

Toys “R” Us is stil doing game launches, they say. They’re busy preparing this week for the March 27th launch of the Nintendo 3DS, and they’ve sent along some details and launch day deals to get you prepared.

The biggest deal they have going is for 3DS games. They’re offering a buy one, get one 50% off deal on all 3DS titles at launch. The retailer is also offering up to $75 in store credit for your used Nintendo DS, which you can use toward a new 3DS. This trade program will run from launch day through April 2.

Finally, on launch day, March 27th, Toys “R” Us will host a 3DS demo event. The event will run from Noon through 3 p.m. Participating stores will have systems and games set up that you can test for yourself.
