Closed beta keys for the returning Hellgate are going out today. You can grab them from various giveaways around the Internet or directly from the developer’s site. I’m making sure I get it on the ground floor with this, because I really want to see what it’s like.
Originally Hellgate: London, this 2007 game became one of the most famous examples of just how hard a new MMO can crash in the competitive market. Despite gaining a cult following, the title just didn’t succeed enough to survive. It has now come back with a free-to-play model.
I’m strangely looking forward to it.
