Right now it is 11:23 p.m. on Friday night, and being a totally extremely cool person I am home writing, but I can already tell you that I will probably get no sleep until this post actually goes live at 2 p.m. on Saturday thanks mostly in part to 1Up’s 2009 list of 101 free games to play. Who in God’s name has this much free time on their hands? I write about games for a living and I couldn’t get through all of these.
The games are divided up into catgories like adventure, puzzle, RPG, etc., but the most intriuging has got to be WTF, the largest section by far. With titles like Offroad Velociraptor Safari and Randy Balma: Municipal Abortionist you’re sure to find something that will keep you from doing work for at least the next week and a half. Sadly the good folks at 1Up failed to recognize the pure awesomeness that is Runner. This is most likely because they were so blown away by its greatness they convinced themselves it wasn’t free. Only explanation really.
