Take the original Halo compositions by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori and give them to Japanese composers to toy with, and you’ll have some idea of what to expect from the score of Halo Legends, the animation extravaganza that explores the Halo universe.
The score was handed off to veteran composers Tetsuya Takahashi (Sonic: Night of the Werehog, Resident Evil: Degeneration) and Yasuharu Takanashi (Genji: Dawn of the Samurai), so expect good stuff when the OST releases on February 9th on both iTunes and Something Digital’s website. Or, for the full experience, you can hang out until February 16th, when Halo Legends will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
If you want a preview of the Halo Legends score, I recommend checking out AOL Radio’s Video Game Scores channel, as I hear the station will be featuring the music in its lineup. How do I know? I’m the music director of that station!
