When I spoke with God of War III director Stig Asmussen at GDC earlier this year, he was pretty open about what they cut from the final game. Now, 1UP has cornered him on the subject again, getting the first footage of some of the cut-scenes in action. (Note: Potential spoilers below.)
The first is a water-based puzzle featuring Ixion. The other is a massive three-way battle between Kratos, Zeus, and Gaia which originally served as the game’s finale. It’s actually hinted at in the final product, and it’s pretty cool to see it in action.Â
