Get one step closer to the stage with Guitar Hits (PSP)

While Red Octane is secretly plotting to turn everyone into an actual guitar hero with a new, unannounced title, Ubisoft is already one step ahead of the game.

Hitting the PlayStation Portable later this year, Guitar Hits is an interactive tutorial tool geared toward beginner and intermediate guitar players.

Guitar Hits will (tentatively) ship with four songs to master: “Wonderwall” (Oasis); “House of the Rising Sun” (The Animals); “Redemption Song” (Bob Marley); and “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” (Bob Dylan). If those songs aren’t your bag, fear not. With video exercises, chord charts, and more, prospective Eddie Van Halens should be playing their favorite Avril Lavigne songs in no time.

Features detailing the history of the instrument, a tuner, and a metronome will round out the software. At $29.99, Guitar Hits is significantly less expensive than private lessons with a whiny local musician nursing failed rock star aspirations.
