GDC 09: Bungie will continue to work on Halo 3 post-ODST

Rejoice, Halo 3 fans. Bungie will continue work on Halo 3 after Halo: ODST is released, even though the spin-off was said to signal the end of the studio’s work with the source material.

“Halo 3 took two and a half years to make, and we’re still working on it,” Bungie producer Allen Murray said during the studio’s panel at GDC. “We’ll probably be working on it for two more years.”

I’m salivating at the prospect of more map packs or whatever other content Bungie will support the shooter with in the future. Then again, I’ve been salivating for weeks. I went to the doctor yesterday and he said my problem might be rabies-related. He insisted that I get a series of shots. Then, I bit his head off.
