Gaming at night banned in Vietnam

I’ve never been to Vietnam, but it’s now in the running for Worst Country Ever. Why? Gaming at night has been banned!

The country’s Ministry of Information and Communication is now working to stop nighttime online gaming. They are doing this with the hopes that it will “mitigate the side effects of online games.” Right.

The lockdown is coming soon: Internet service providers have been asked to block all online gaming daily from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m by March 3rd. Those ISPs and gaming locations that do not comply will have their services shut off by the government. Serious business.

This is going to suck for a lot of people. Gamespot says that 23 million people of Vietnam use the internet. My guess? People are just going to game more during the day.
