Fortnite gets a little John Wick action

0

Limited time mode and skin

Fortnite will be getting some John Wick themed goodies soon. Data miners have recently uncovered a John Wick skin for players, as well as the existence of a limited-time mode in the game's files. While some of this was rumored a week ago thanks to similar data mining efforts, the rugs been pulled now.

On Twitter, user Lucas7yoshi uncovered references to specific objectives that players can complete with a John Wick theme. Things like tackling bounties, collecting tokens, and killing players with weapons similar to the ones in the films. There is even a line of text that reads, "Welcome to the Continental. REMEMBER - No business while on hotel grounds." If that isn't confirmation of the event, I'm not sure what else could be.

With John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum releasing in theaters this Friday, it only makes sense that Epic Games would have some crossover planned. It also makes double sense since an obviously John Wick inspired skin called "The Reaper" was released in season three, so it's not even the first time the two properties have crossed over. Epic's been mum on the details, though, so who knows when this stuff will land in-game. My money is on Friday.
