Five new multiplayer maps coming to Sniper: Ghost Warrior

For those of you who like to slowly and methodically shoot people in the face from afar, take note — City Interactive’s Sniper: Ghost Warrior is getting downloadable content.

The publisher has announced that it will be adding five multiplayer maps to the mix, with “longer range shooting distances.” The new maps will have players vying to take control of ruined oil rigs and capturing stone towers. To do this, you’ll have to shoot people in the face from afar and, conversely, not get shot in the face from afar.

No word on pricing or release date, but the new content will be available on both Steam and Xbox Live for PC and Xbox 360 respectively. Sniper has found inexplicable and surprising success in the United Kingdom, hanging steadily for many weeks with titles from top-tier publishers. With that said, there must be someone out there excited about this announcement, right? Let us know!
