First look: The Conduit

Hardcore FPS fans take note: you may have to reconsider your decision not to buy a Wii. Third-party developers seem to finally see the potential millions to be made by filling in the holes Nintendo has left in the Wii’s software library. Sega and Platinum games have the ultra-violent action genre covered with MadWorld, and now we have the The Conduit to fill Wii owners’ need for a story-driven, core gamer-appeasing, alien-murdering, multiplayer FPS.

The game may look great, but there are two things that need to happen before we can truly start getting hyped. First, High Voltage Software, the game’s developer, needs to find a publisher. Second, we need to know that this game will be entirely friend code-free.

EA seems to be pretty fond of publishing games for the Wii, and they found a way to bypass the friend code system on Medal of Honor Heroes 2. Hmmmmm…
