First look at the Aquaria level editor

You might be wondering what you’re looking at: this game, Aquaria, is one of my most anticipated games of 2007. The devs at Bit-Blot, after some post-trailer radio silence, have uploaded a video detailing some of what we can expect from Aquaria‘s level editor, some new music, and those same gorgeous visuals that have become the hallmark of this forthcoming indie title.

Aquaria looks to have it all: intriguing play mechanics, old-school sensibility, and a stunning aesthetic. As for a release date, to quote the developers, “it’ll be done when it’s done.” Keep your eyes on Bit-Blot’s development blog and your favorite sweaty 2D nerd (read: me) for further updates.
